The portrait is the highest and best use of photography.  The ever-changing landscape of the human condition is the subject matter of every portrait, and it will always gain value with the passage of time.

I have been photographing people since 1972, and I expect that I will continue doing so until the camera falls from my hand.  I photograph individuals,  groups, families, family reunions, business portraits, model portfolios, and events.

Bringing a product to the marketplace is always an exacting procedure.  Nothing shows a product like photography, and nothing will substitute for a high quality commercial image.

Each project brings unique challenges.  It is only through creative problem-solving that we make photographs worth a thousand words. 

Working in conjunction with the Open Shutter Gallery in Durango, Colorado, I teach courses in digital photography and basic Photoshop image editing.   The courses are designed to break down the walls of mystery surrounding the techniques and vocabulary of this new world of photography.

The photo tours take us to exotic and beautiful locations where we concentrate on getting the most from photography and cultural exploration.
